This summer season maestro Mäkilä is returning to the Gergiev Festival Mikkeli to conduct a joint concert with St Michel Strings and the artists of the Mariinsky Theatre. In St. Petersburg he is starting a new collaboration with the Tchaikovsky Ballet and conducting five evenings of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake in the Alexandrinsky and Hermitage theatres.
In addition to his performances, maestro Mäkilä will teach two international conducting masterclasses, one in Mikkeli and one in Pärnu together with Pärnu City Orchestra.
