Ten participants will get an intense masterclass experience over five days in Sofia, Bulgaria, working with maestro Sasha Mäkilä and the Sofia Sinfonietta. The course consists of five rehearsals and a public concert at the cultural center “Nadezhda”, as well as technique sessions together with a faculty pianist. Each participant will enjoy a minimum of 20 minutes daily podium time with the orchestra, plus the concert on October 21. The focus of the masterclass will be conducting technique and communication skills with the orchestra. Participants are allowed to videotape all the sessions.
The course fee is 1500 EUR total without accommodation, or 2000 EUR with hotel accommodation in a single room, consisting of a 200 EUR reservation fee and the remaining amount (1300 EUR or 1800 EUR) to be paid before or on the first day of the masterclass.
